John Adams , one of our fine Founding Fathers of America, (1735-1826) became the 2nd President of the United States of America, (1797-1801) after serving 2 terms as Vice President under President George Washington . Adams was born in Massachusetts Bay Colony, he was a delegate to the 1st & 2nd Continental Congress, he helped draft the Declaration of Independance & Ultimately negotiate the treaty that ended the American Revolution. John Adams was the 1st President of the United States to reside in the White House that was completed in 1800.
